Stretch Therapist
StretchSPOT is a health and wellness studio with two locations in Torrance and Hermosa Beach, South Bay LA. We offer stretch therapy and myofascial release to people of all ages and from all walks of life. Stretch therapy is a one-on-one manual therapy suitable for anyone who wants to increase their flexibility and range motion and/or decrease pain and discomfort experienced as a result of tight muscles. It is also highly utilized by athletes to recover more quickly. Great for the nine-to-fiver who experiences muscular pain from desk work, the weekend warrior, and athletes of all levels! THE JOB: WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

• Perform stretch therapy on clients of a wide age range and of varying levels of fitness and health, addressing areas of pain and tightness and flexibility issues as per the specific needs of the client.
• Be physically fit and healthy. This position is physically demanding.
• Discuss body issues including areas of pain and discomfort with the client and desirable outcomes of the session/series of sessions.
• Tailor each stretch session to the specific needs of the client and the length of the stretch.
• Possess excellent communication skills being able to chat with clients and put them at their ease. We are a friendly studio and this is part of our brand.
• Discuss and advise clients on the purchase of additional sessions, packages or monthly memberships in line with client goals and the goals of the business.
• Answer the phone and deal with scheduling, payments and walk-ins in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Be reliable, organized with great time management skills and a team mentality.
• Be eager to learn new techniques and to continually evolve your skills as a Stretch Therapist. Ongoing training will be given as part of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL: Stand-alone stretch certification or certification in stretching as part of a personal training qualification. Qualifications in Massage Therapy, Kinesiology, and other body-related fields are preferred but full training in our unique method will be given.
• Knowledge of the body and body work is required.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of stretching/stretch therapy in a health and wellness environment is a plus.
• Knowledge/experience of myofascial release/trigger point therapy techniques is a plus.

Job Types: Part-time, Commission

Salary: $17.00 - $27.60 per hour

Schedule:

• Around 15 hours per week
• Day shift: 4-6 hour shifts between 9:50AM and 7:10PM.
• 3-4 DAYS PER WEEK INCLUDING SUNDAYS. Please do not apply unless you can work Sundays 9:50AM-2:10PM
• Same hours each week

Supplemental Pay:

• Commission of 10% paid on all services performed.

Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
