Drake Precision Dental Laboratory Inc., renowned for its exceptional service and dedication to quality dental laboratory products, is excited to announce a new opportunity in our Shipping Department. We are currently seeking a methodical and reliable Part-Time Shipping Packer to help us continue delivering excellence to our clients. This position plays a crucial role in our shipping operations, ensuring that our products are securely packed and meet the rigorous standards our clients expect from us.

 Please note, this is not a remote job; candidates will be expected to work from the Drake Precision Dental Laboratory facilities. Ideal hours are from 12-5pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the shipping department with the preparation and packing of outgoing shipments to ensure they are secure and meet the quality standards.
• Follow detailed packaging instructions to minimize damage during transit and maintain the integrity of the products.
• Inspect dental products for any defects or issues prior to packaging and report any anomalies to the quality assurance team.
• Maintain a clean and orderly packing area in compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Participate in inventory control activities, ensuring packing supplies are adequately stocked and reordered in a timely manner.
• Manage time effectively
• Assist with the disinfection of incoming dental impressions to maintain hygiene standards and prevent contamination.
• Attend and participate in team meetings to stay updated on best practices and operational changes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Detail-oriented and capable of following strict procedures in handling and packaging sensitive products.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physical ability to stand for an extended period.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Capacity to adhere to health and safety policies rigorously, including those related to cleanliness and disinfection.
• Familiarity with basic shipping and packing technology and machinery is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours and adjust schedule according to shipping demands.

Pay starting at $12/hr
