Join us in representing PAX Learning Center, building relationships that enhance our reach and effectiveness in the SW Washington and Portland-Metropolitan areas.<br> </p><p><i>Position Summary:</i></p><p>The Development Coordinator will lead in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising and communication plan for PAX Learning Center (PAX) with team assistance. This position will work alongside the executive team and fundraising team to become the face of PAX fundraising and community outreach. Responsibilities include implementing donor tracking, initiating monthly giving, individual donor stewardship, and creating a signature fundraising event. This is a part-time position with the goal of shifting to a full-time role.</p><p><i>Duties & Responsibilities</i></p><p><strong>Fundraising:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising plan, including donor tracking, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.</li><li>Cultivate relationships with potential funders and maintain relationships with current funders.</li><li>Develop and implement a monthly giving program.</li><li>Collaborate with the PAX team to create and implement a signature fundraising event.</li></ul><p><strong>Marketing & Public Relations:</strong></p><ul><li>Create and implement a communications plan, including direct mail pieces (newsletter, annual report, postcards, etc.), social media, and additional collateral as appropriate.</li><li>Develop and maintain positive community relationships with stakeholders, professional and business organizations, and foundations.</li><li>Plan and implement campaigns to promote the agency’s mission in the community.</li><li>Cultivate and nurture relationships with media and press outlets in the SW Washington and Portland-Metropolitan areas.</li></ul><p><i>Qualifications</i></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Associate’s Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.</li><li>Transferable skills and related experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, sales, or marketing.</li><li>Strong communication skills to enable the cultivation of relationships with local philanthropic donors and business leaders in the community.</li><li>Creative aptitude, capable of generating design ideas to communicate PAX’s mission.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain positive, cooperative, and effective working relationships with donors, staff, volunteers, and the Board of Directors.</li><li>Willingness to learn all aspects of non-profit fundraising.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of successful management of non-profit development efforts or sales and marketing.</li></ul><p><i>Perks of Joining Our Team</i></p><ul><li><strong>Exclusive Mentorship:</strong> Enjoy bi-monthly one-on-one mentorship sessions with one of SW Washington's premier nonprofit development agencies.
