Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Mid Cybersecurity Specialist to telework. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

FISMA Reporting and Helpdesk Team:

• Be able to understand basics of comparing quarterly data, for about 160+ data items related to cybersecurity.
• DHS Experience helpful but not required.  Know there are 11 components of DHS.
• Ability to train on new cybersecurity standards as those published in OMB M-21-30 and Executive Order 14028
• Ability to analyze data, see trends, see where relative improvements, and declines in performance have happened.
• Interest in supporting the customer and other team members
• Call center support experience helpful, but not required

Scorecard Team:

• Splunk access helpful, but not required at time of hire
• Dashboard creation and organization helpful (will train)
• Working with CSAM, DIAR2 information
• Ability to work overtime (within approved limits) is a plus

Helpful, but not required at time of hire:

• Experience with PowerPoint, Cyberscope and other Government portal access
• Ability to follow set standards
• Open to suggesting improvements
• Understanding of the DHS mission

Experience/Skills:

• Basic internet and PC skills
  • Intermediate MS Excel (familiarity with Copy/Paste/Edit/Sum/Delta/Precents/Pivot Table/Formulas/Conditional Formatting)
  • Intermediate MS Word (familiarity with Copy/Paste/Edit/Templates)
  • MS Outlook (email, schedule meetings)
  • MS Teams for meetings, messaging
  • Google searches on internet
  • 30 words per minute useful, but not required
• Analytical approach to reviewing data (i.e., Delta between 2 numbers) and be able to understand how to explain a variance in terms of:
  • increase
  • decrease
  • remained the same
• Ad Hoc reporting from 160+ data items as the basis for data and info requests
• Ability to listen for understanding
• Note taking during meetings
• Teamwork support for you, and you for the others
• Ability to work independently, accountable to supporting team goals
• Ability to recognize the need for help when needed to meet a deadline
• Respectful of customer and customer’s time
• Open to training, no cybersecurity experience required, but helpful
• If SME, be available and ready to coach others within the team

Clearance:

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
