The Project Manager is responsible for all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractor's work. Responsible for all field activities associated with the project, including ultimate responsibility for implementing the safety program for the job site. Shares responsibility with the project manager for developing the project budget, actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to the company policies and procedures. Manages and mentors field personnel involved with existing construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of field workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with clients, Senior Project Manager, other construction managers to determine budget and timeline
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers through pthe urchasing manager
  • Conduct weekly coordination & scheduling meetings with project management team to create schedules for workers and subcontractors
  • Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
  • Make changes in the operation as required to best meet construction deadlines
  • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
  • Enforce safety compliance per company standards & OSHA requirement

Skill qualifications:

  • 5+ years of management or supervisory experience
  • Extensive Construction Knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
  • Good working knowledge of computer programs
  • Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazardous situations
  • Excellent pproblem-solvingand communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities, forecast upcoming work, and appropriately allocate adequate resources
  • Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning
  • Ability to be independent while meeting deadlines
  • Clean & valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

 

Experience:

 

  • Management: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

 

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • OSHA 30 (Required)

  • 80% (Required)

 

Work Location: Between Queens Office & On the road
