Jeffrey A. Miller Catering (JAM Catering) is a premier catering company specializing in weddings and events in the Philadelphia area and Delaware Valley. We organize about 800 weddings a year and pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and quality craftsmanship. 

Job Responsibilities: 

This role will assist with various projects including tent set-up, venue maintenance, and special projects like building benches and bars. Skills in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry are a plus. This person is expected to drive company vehicles (will train) back and forth to venue sites to perform duties. 

• Assist Lead Project Manager with various tasks to ensure successful execution of events. 
• Routine maintenance issues and cleaning across all venues. 
• Power washing, painting, deliveries, cleaning, groundskeeping. 
• Minor electrical repairs, minor plumbing repairs. 
• Participate in tent set-up and other venue maintenance projects. 
• Support special projects such as building benches and bars. 
• Various additional responsibilities based on company needs 

Compensation: $16-18/hour and eligible for over-time 

Qualifications: 

• Valid driver’s license required. 
• 1-2 years' experience in minor electrical and plumbing repairs. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Ability to take direction and carry out designated tasks. 
• Ability to work independently 
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 
• Proactive and self-motivated.

• Must be available for early morning starts and possible weekends during busy seasons (Spring and Fall) 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to perform light repairs and maintenance tasks. 
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time. 
• Ability to stoop, crouch, bend, and lift to 50+ lbs.
