We are looking for a tutor who plays a critical role in helping students develop their academic skills and reach their full potential.

Whom we are looking for:

Better me tutor plays a critical role in helping students develop their academic skills and reach their full potential. The main focus of the role is to assist students in math and English reading with a personalized and individualized approach to learning.

What You Will Do:

  • Student Guidance: Provide one-on-one instruction to students based on their individualized learning plans and abilities.
  • Customized Instruction: Design and deliver instructions that tailored to each student's pace and progress.
  • Motivation: Encourage and motivate K to Grade2 students to complete assignments and achieve their learning goals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track students' progress, adjusting their learning plans as needed.
  • Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to students to help them understand their mistakes and improve their performance.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with parents or guardians, updating them on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Admin Tasks: Keep accurate records of students' assignments, progress, and attendance.

How You Can Be Qualified:

  • Educational Background: A strong foundation in mathematics and/or reading, typically with at least a high school diploma or equivalent. A background in education is often preferred but not always required.
  • Patience: Ability to work patiently with students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to explain concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple students and their individual learning plans.
  • Passion for Teaching: A genuine interest in helping students learn and improve their academic skills.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to work with students at different levels and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
  • Reliability: Consistency in attendance and commitment to the role.

 Available and willing to work 2-3 days per week, at least 3 hours per day.

Pay Range:

  • $18 - $22/hour
