Job Overview:

The Deckhand, operating as a 1099 Subcontractor, will assist the captain with navigation and docking, maintains a clean, safe, comfortable environment for passengers and other crew members, and projects a positive and friendly image to provide a quality guest experience. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deckhand will assist in safe boarding and disembarking of passengers.
• Deckhand will handle mooring lines when docking the vessel(s).
• Deckhand will maintain daily pre and post cruise checklists.
• Deckhand will understand procedures for Man Overboard, Fire at Sea and Abandon Ship
• Deckhand will participate in USCG required training drills.
• Deckhand will ensure proper setup for each cruise.
• Deckhand will assist in general maintenance, including but not limited to cleaning, restocking and washing the vessel(s).

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks which includes lifting up to 50lbs, continuous walking and/ or standing, and tolerate exposure to all types of weather.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test as per USCG regulations.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which includes nights and weekends.
• Excellent customer service skills.
