Job Description/Daily Responsibilities: Full-time Bookkeeper and Payroll Manager in Corte Madera, CA
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a proactive professional with a friendly attitude and the ability to multitask to serve our 30+ clients’ Bookkeeping and Payroll needs. Clients are primarily S-Corps with 1-2 employees. You would manage the department with two part-time people reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the books for clients – review transactions, categorize, reconcile monthly.
- Enter clients’ financial transactions into appropriate computer software – QuickBooks online.
- Keep clear logs in our CRM program OfficeTools and maintain organized client folders.
- Produce & review reports such as balance sheets (costs compared w/ income) income statements, totals by account, profit & loss statements, 1099’s, Quarterly & Year-end reviews
- Check for accuracy in figures, postings, and reports.
- Reconcile or note and report any differences found in the records.
- Assist Accountant or CPA to close out year-end books with journal entries
- Notify Accountant of any client’s accounting errors
- Update charts of accounts as needed, Maintain historical records by e-filing documents
- Run payroll as directed by the company/client
- Log 6 billable hours/day
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years bookkeeping
- QuickBooks online, Microsoft Office/Excel, Google Docs, OfficeTools, eFiling
- Able to multi-task and pay attention to detail and accuracy
- Can anticipate problems and help avoid them – raise hand and ask for help.
- Experience with multi-state payroll would be valued but not required.
- Truly enjoy helping people - with patience and wit!
Compensation - Depends on Experience, full-time with health & retirement benefits on Day 1, 90-day review period. During tax season, weekend work is often necessary.
