Key Behavior Services is seeking a qualified Behavior Technician to work with children on the autism spectrum in 1:1 sessions following ABA methods in local school setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Provide one-on-one behavior intervention sessions with clients, following established protocols.
  • Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including BCBAs and other professionals, to review and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in acquiring and improving life skills and appropriate behaviors.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention strategies.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across environments.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in the field of behavior analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • High school diploma - Preferred 48 semester hours at an accredited university
  • Background Check
  • Reliable Transportation - Ability to commute to clients homes/schools (typically no more than 30 minutes from your home location) and comfortable working in home and school environment
  • Complete 40 hours of online training (Paid)
  • Complete RBT credential within 180 days

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment
  • Must possess the ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection and guidance of potentially physically aggressive students during crisis situations.
  • Must possess the ability to react quickly and be sufficiently mobile to redirect students that could be injurious to themselves or others, i.e. stop a child from running out of a building, physically redirect a child with severe behaviors, etc.
  • Must be able to physically assist with evacuating students during emergency situations.
  • Must earn and maintain full certification(s) in assigned crisis management programs.

No experience with Applied Behavior Analysis is necessary but experience working with individuals with special needs and who are willing to learn is beneficial. We will provide paid training and work with candidates to gain the Registered Behavior Technician credential. Free supervision for those needing to meet competency requirements for the RBT.
