Description 
DESIGNER OVERVIEW 
Data Link Technology Services, LLC (DLTS) located in Tempe, Arizona is currently looking for 
a Designer who is experienced in commercial Structured Cabling, Access Control, Intrusion 
Detection, and Video Surveillance. 

Designers with DLTS are responsible for design and field scope documents. 

Preferred candidates will have proven experience Designing in one or multiple categories listed 
below: 

Low voltage Voice and Data cabling 
Fiber optic installations and maintenance 
Data Center installations and maintenance 
Outside plant cabling 
BICSI compliant design & standards 
Adds, Moves and Changes 
Audio/Video systems design and installation 
Paging system design and installation 
Security, Video Surveillance, Access Control systems and cabling 
Smart Home/IoT deployment & integration

RESPONSIBILITIES 
Develop designs that meet client functional and budgetary requirements: 

1. Experience with standard RFPs, RFIs, and Substitution Requests delivered to client. 
2. Assist with hand-off meetings as required. 
3. Participates in activities to support the team environment. 
4. Complies with all DLTS processes for design. 
5. Must be able to produce sheet specs and book specs from scratch if needed. 
6. Must have the ability to use AutoCAD with at least 1 years’ experience. 


QUALIFICATIONS 

1. Must possess accountability and work ethic. 
2. 1+ years doing design in AutoCAD. 
3. 1+ years in the low voltage industry. 
4. Thorough knowledge of current access control and infrastructure products and vendors.
