Job Title: Grants Writer

Job Description overview: This position is part of full range grant development activities for the organization. This position works to develop and finalize high quality grant proposals that are consistent with TMWF’s mission and strategic direction and provides post-award grants management for Foundations and Federal grants.
This role includes researching and writing grant proposals, submitting accurate and timely reports, compliance and management in implementation and execution of the entire grants' portfolio for TMWF. Additionally there will be involvement in capital campaign efforts.
Major Responsibilities:
∙ Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit and manage all grant proposals
∙ Researching grants, identifying, developing, and responding to grant opportunities. Maintaining and updating Master Grant list.
∙ Collaborate with Finance and Programs dept to gather information necessary to report to all the grants. ∙ Ensuring that all proposals/reports reflect the objectives of the grantor and advance the goals of TMWF
∙ Analyzing program and financial reports for transparency and accuracy.
∙ Arranging and helping prepare and host site visits related to grants
∙ Prepare and serve as the first point of contact for Grant Hearings, grant presentations, arrange for on site tours for foundation officers, trustees
∙ Maintenance of SAMs renewal
∙ Understanding of institutional history and programs
∙ Track statistics relevant to development and provide with written materials necessary for donor stewardship.
The Grants Manager also assists with:
∙ Evaluation and finalization of post-award reporting
∙ Provision of technical assistance and training for agency staff around the grant process ∙ Ensure grant compliance and adherence to program procedures and policies
∙ Regular review of data accuracy, program specific policies, and adherence to such policies. Offer recommendations for improvement

Required knowledge and skills:
∙ Demonstrated experience and success writing state, federal, or foundation proposals. ∙ Strong written communications skills, ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals
∙ Attention to detail.
∙ Strong editing skills
∙ Demonstrated ability to work independently, synthesize complex ideas, provide leadership, and strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure of deadlines. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, electronic grants management and submission systems (i.e., Grants.gov, esnaps.hud.gov, grants, zoom grants), and other applications. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a diverse population and stakeholders at various levels. Experience conducting academic literature reviews and/or research preferred.
Qualifications:
∙ Minimum of 5 years’ experience with grant writing
∙ Experience working in deadline- driven environments
∙ Able to work in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines ∙ Previous experience with non-profit fundraising
∙ Able to monitor and meet income goals
∙ Experience in the targeted areas of working with immigrants, refugees, survivors of family violence and social services is preferred.
Tolerate prolonged sitting or standing. Requires bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying objects up to 25pounds, with or without accommodations.
