Job Description
Lux Manufacturing is seeking a highly organized and meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This hands-on role involves overseeing quality control processes, ensuring all parts meet stringent customer requirements, and reporting to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
● Inspection and Documentation: Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts and assemblies. Record results accurately.
● Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ITAR, and AS9100 certification requirements. Manage FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and DMRs (Discrepant Material Reports).
● Precision Measurement: Utilize tools such as CMMs, micrometers, gauge blocks, indicators, and optical comparators.
● Process Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with various departments, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to maintain quality standards. Oversee the calibration of all equipment.
● Documentation and Reporting: Review and adhere to new and revised customer documentation. Prepare and maintain quality reports and documentation.
Qualifications
● Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing/production, with a focus on quality assurance. Experience with close tolerance parts is required.
● Technical Skills: Proficient in using precision measurement tools and understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge of MBD (Model-Based
Definition) methodology and Titans of CNC Academy coursework (Mitutoyo Inspection 101) is preferred.
● Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP/MRP systems, particularly ShopKeeper. ● Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
● Attention to Detail: Meticulous, precise, and efficient in inspecting parts and recording results.
