PCG Private and Semi-Private Health and Fitness Coach – Job Description:

Company Overview:

Peak City Gym is a family-owned training gym specializing in Fitness-Over-Forty. We help people over forty take back control of their health and fitness even when they feel they are too busy and burned out from failed past attempts.

As a training gym all of our members are engaged in either private or semi-private coaching. The vast majority of members participate in our flagship Ageless Athlete and Power Hour semi-private training classes, which are limited to 6 members per coach to offer the benefits of personal training in a small group setting. Members also have access to pop-up and specialty classes such as Bootcamps, Active Recovery, Nutrition Seminars, Cooking Classes, etc when available.

Since our Grand Opening in January 2020 we have cultivated an incredible sense of community at Peak City Gym.

We have hosted several member events including our annual Member Appreciation Night in August/September, dinners at local restaurants, bowling night at King’s Dining and Entertainment, bourbon tasting at The Oak in Raleigh, and much more.

What’s In It For You:

Peak City Gym is a young and growing company driven by passion for helping others move, feel, and live better. We are very proud of what we have built at our current location and plan to expand within the next couple of years. These plans inherently provide opportunities for professional growth for team members that best embody our 5 core values (Perseverance, Integrity, Empathy, Consistency, and Enthusiasm). There is room for growth and pay advancements within our current location as well!

We believe strongly in continuing education and will assist in your pursuit of approved CEUs, certifications, and attendance at events such as Perform Better Summits, and other related conferences.

Typically the 90-day onboarding pay begins at $18 per hour (negotiable based on experience and qualifications). Opportunities for hourly pay increases and bonuses are determined by outcomes of the 90-Day review and 90-day reviews thereafter.

After 90 days, team members are allotted 5 sick days per year and can begin accruing Paid Time Off (2 hours per pay period for part-time team members and 4 hours per pay period for full-time team members).

As a part time coach, you will NOT be required to “work the floor” or “hard sell”. Your primary responsibilities include honing your niche and craft as a coach, learning our progressions, regressions and cues, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for our members.

Our broad niche is "Fitness Over Forty". Within that umbrella there are several sub-niches. With everything from menopause to specific common problem areas (hip/knee/shoulder/back) to athletic performance in golf, tennis, pickle ball, etc. The key to growth for and within our organization is to become the "go-to" person in one of those sub-niche areas.

Make sure to answer the pre-screen questions, specifically the one about a sub-niche, to be considered for an interview.

We have some extraordinary members with interesting backgrounds and fun, humorous personalities. The best parts of working at Peak City Gym are developing relationships with these incredible people and assisting them in the process of realizing their true potential.

o Has 2-3 years experience in training-related field
