The Foreman will build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction projects.
Install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, flooring, drywall and insulation.
Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures.
Liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals.
Read and interpret blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations.
Measure, mark, and arrange materials to establish layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
Delegate duties to helper(s) to ensure effectiveness and efficiency at the job site.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
Handle company tools with care.
Conduct repair work.
Assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
Comply with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service to clients.
Stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
Attend online or in person courses on carpentry as provided by the manager.
