We’re looking for an experienced social media and Event Marketing Specialist, including fundraising events, who will be responsible for the voice for our non-profit organization across all communication channels.  They will be responsible for every aspect of our digital media presence along with all in-person events; from choosing venues and platforms to evaluating the impact and outcomes.  The candidate must be well organized, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.  Add a shot of enthusiastic visual imagery and a passion for working in the non-profit sector and you’ll be our ideal candidate.  The goal is to organize unforgettable experiences – both digital and in-person – that deliver the desired results.

 

Working for the Executive Director, this Position is Responsible to:

  • Manage all digital postings to ensure content is on-brand and search and social-optimized. 
  • Produce all email campaigns, soliciting content from internal sources. 
  • Lead digital execution—across email, website, and social media—of fundraising and engagement campaigns throughout the year.
  • Coordinate event logistics, publicity, including public relations, advertising and collateral design, production and distribution while thoroughly understanding requirements for each event.
  • Assist in the development of event budgets and management.
  • Create/Manage all fundraising events
  • Manage in-kind donation solicitations for each event.

 

The Desired Skill Set will show a Proven Ability to:

  • Define the goals for a social media strategy. 
  • Determine which platforms should be used and oversee all.
  • Create a strategic content calendar and a Social Media Policy. 
  • Analyze social media and event metrics to improve the overall marketing strategy.
  • Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints.
  • Book venues and schedule speakers.
  • Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms.
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards.
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems.
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit written evaluation of the event.
  • Develop and host new fund-raising events as agreed.
  • Support the development and execution of specific demographic events.

 

Education and Experience Required: 

  • 2 years of experience in marketing/social media management. 
  • 2 years of experience in event planning and management.
  • Certification in Marketing preferred.

 

Full Time Position 

  • $16-18 per hour with benefits
