What we are looking for in a Red Circle Copywriter & Proofreader: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Copywriter & Proofreader to join our team. This role requires strong creative writing chops, along with a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, spelling errors, and brand tone. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating original copywriting content for various touchpoints as well as editing written content for accuracy, consistency, and brand voice adherence with multiple clients. Understanding and following different brand writing standards, tone, and formatting is an important part of this role. Responsibilities:
- Produce compelling and engaging copywriting content that effectively communicates key messages and resonates with target audiences across various advertising and marketing channels.
- Develop and produce creative concepts and ideas.
- Write clear, concise, and compelling copy that aligns seamlessly with brand guidelines, and adapts effectively to various brands, target demographics, and diverse marketing objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including writers, designers, art directors, and other creatives, to refine and polish content, ensuring it meets quality standards, aligns with strategic objectives, and effectively supports visual elements across projects.
- Conduct research and understand client industries, trends, products, audiences, and competitors to inform your content creation.
- Review and edit content for accuracy, consistency, grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and formatting errors, adhering to established style guidelines and brand standards.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and evolving language conventions in proofreading, copywriting, and content marketing.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- An Associate Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Copywriter, Content Editor, Proofreader, or similar role with 2–4 years of related experience.
- Creativity and the ability to generate original writing for content development.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high editorial standards.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling copy that engages and persuades target audiences.
- Proficiency in using proofreading tools, style guides, and content management systems (CMS) to review and edit written content.
- Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently, in a deadline-driven environment.
Skills:
- Must be able to effectively complete tasks in a deadline-based, agency-setting
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines
- A self-starter with a positive attitude, self-motivated work ethic, and the ability to solve problems with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Solid time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members in the creative department and others across departments within the agency
- Experience using AI tools to boost efficiency in a creative production setting is a plus
- Casino or hospitality industry experience a plus
- Adaptability in using new software or experience working with M------------ and Ziflow is a plus
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and basic knowledge of digital marketing principles is a plus
