The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, a non-profit organization based in McKinney, TX, is looking for an experienced cleaning professional to clean a cabin property in Glen Haven, CO, that is used seasonally (from late May to early October) by employees, volunteers, and supporters of the organization. The facility has 3 small, separate structures. The main cabin is used most frequently and is approx. 900 sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a kitchen, and living room. The smaller cabin is approx. 300 sq. ft. with 1 bed, 1 bath, and a kitchen. It is used less frequently than the main cabin. Finally, there is a simple, one-room cabin that is also used intermittently.

Duties of the position will include:

• Sweeping and mopping floors of cabins that have been used that week (cabins that are unused should be assessed in case of incidental debris and addressed if needed)
• Wiping down and/or dusting all surfaces such as kitchen counters, shelves, tables, mirrors, windows (as needed), and curtains
• Washing and changing linens (bedrooms, bath(s) and kitchen)
• Basic kitchen and living room cleaning (guests are instructed to remove all trash and clean used dishes)
• Cleaning of bathrooms in used cabins (sink, toilet and bath/shower)
• Sweeping the patios would be helpful in long-term interior cleaning/maintenance, but is not required
• Report back to the Heard’s staff any maintenance issues you notice that may need correction
• Cleaning staff are also encouraged to report violations of our guest rules that interferes with their work

The time requirements for the position will only be on Saturdays, as needed, from late May through the beginning of October. Cleaning may be done from 9am-2pm on scheduled dates. The Heard will give advanced notice of all scheduling updates. If interested, there may be opportunities to perform occasional deeper cleans to the structures.

We are looking for individuals with critical attention to detail, good communication skills, experience with professional cleaning, and the ability to pass a background check.
