Overview:
Sterling Greenery, a thriving Garden Center, Pond Store, Stone Yard, and Landscape Design and Installation company, is seeking a dedicated Garden Center Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Garden Center Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our garden center while upholding our commitment to excellence in customer service and horticultural expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the garden center, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
- Lead and motivate a team of garden center staff to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
- Train and coach employees on product knowledge, customer service best practices, and sales techniques.
- Coordinate with vendors for product orders and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure the garden center is well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing.
- Oversee cash register operations and reconcile daily sales transactions.
- Conduct employee orientations and performance evaluations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in garden center management or related retail roles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Experience in team management, including training development and employee orientation.
- Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and gardening products.
- Proficiency in store management practices such as inventory control and sales tracking.

- Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours as needed.
