Our technology-enabled approach, developed by our own team of engineers and designers, ensures our staff and members are well supported.

Vanna delivers in-person and virtual community-based engagement through an interdisciplinary team of coaches and clinicians. We leverage partnerships with existing community resources to facilitate support networks unique to an individual’s needs and location - connecting them to established psychosocial rehabilitation programs, resources for housing, transportation, etc. and various digital engagement opportunities to address members’ needs.

About the Role

Vanna Health is looking for an enthusiastic Member Engagement Intern to join our growing team for 3 months. 

This is a hybrid role focused on engaging prospective Vanna members and community partners in person for 

our pilot program in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented and excited to drive outreach to a large 

number of prospective members. This role reports to the Community Engagement Lead.

Responsibilities

• Identify and attend community outreach events to represent Vanna
• Communicate with prospective members and partners in an empathetic and professional manner
• Plan and attend open houses and other member-facing events
• Plan and attend partner-facing events to develop new community partnerships
• Support with administrative duties in the office as needed
• Develop digital and physical outreach materials
• Launch and manage Vanna’s social media accounts
• As needed, conduct phone calls and follow ups with prospective members to introduce Vanna Health and schedule intakes
• Provide feedback

About You

• Passionate about working within the community and helping individuals with serious mental illness flourish
• Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree or at least 3 years of experience working in behavioral health or community health settings 
• Tech-savviness and basic computer skills, proficiency in Google Suite and social media
• Located in or near Philadelphia 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
• Proven ability to exceed metric-based goals
• Valid driver’s license
