A high-growth Solon Ohio-based Actuation and Motion Control products manufacturer has an immediate opening for a Manual Machinist individual.
 

Job Summary:

The Manual Machinist position is responsible for machining various components used in the company’s actuation products using mills, lathes, and other machines. In addition, the position includes inspection of components produced internally and by suppliers, and assembly of actuation products.  We are looking for an individual with some experience or we will train the right person.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce machined components for prototypes and production using various machines including Bridgeport, Engine Lathe. CNC experience will be needed as we continue to grow and purchase additional equipment.
• Assist with developing and building production and test fixtures.
• Inspect machined components using various types of gaging and other measurement devices and assist with determining correct gaging requirements.
• Assemble components into sub-assemblies and final assemblies using standard procedures and methods.
• Assist engineering and production developing parts / brackets / test fixtures etc. as needed.
• Contribute to the team by providing innovative ideas / concepts.
• Follow procedures and ensure compliance with our ISO-9000 / AS9100 Quality System
• Other duties as applicable
Experience Qualifications:
• Would prefer hands-on experience with machining methods, preferably using manual machines, but willing to train the right individual.
• Reading Blueprints.
• Experience with hydraulics, valves, and seals.
• Assembly knowledge / experience.
• Understanding & experience with panel wiring and reading electrical schematics is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of running CNC equipment.
