Curt’s Café, founded in 2012, is an organization with a proven track record in working with at-risk youth to provide training and social/emotional support to provide them with a foundation to start a career in the food service industry. Curt’s is positioned to grow substantially in its second decade, utilizing its current café’s (Highland Park and Evanston) as a springboard to provide training and support to many more students. At Curt’s, we have helped over 600 students and are proud to report that our success rate around recidivism is higher than the national average.

Our Development Director is part of a small team of leaders ready to move Curt’s to its next level. They will develop and execute a robust fundraising plan, seek new donors and work collaboratively with our Board and large support network to identify new opportunities, seek additional grants, set and meet fundraising goals, perform the administrative tasks necessary to track, report and acknowledge funders, plan and execute events and works closely with our team to market our cafés’ and mission, working to communicate our brand and to an even wider audience.

To qualify for this position, you must have a proven track record of success in the development arena, preferably with a growth oriented organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as is working with diverse partners, donors, staff and community.
