** Your role: **

- We are looking for a passionate, personable, hardworking, and skilled individual to provide customer service that goes above and beyond. 

- We are nestled in the lobby of an office building and place great emphasis on building genuine relationships with our customers. This means we get to know our customers on first name basis, we know our customers' signature drinks, we know what they like or dislike. This is important to nurture the connection with our customers and build a sense of community. 

- In your role as a Barista, you'll need to expertly create flawless beverages consistently, all while maintaining speed and precision. Proficiency in pouring exquisite coffee with latte art is required.

- 2 years of barista experience is required.

- Prepare and serve hot beverages using the Nuovo Simonelli espresso machine (imported from Italy)

- As a Barista, we expect you to be knowledgeable about bean origins, cutting-edge brewing techniques, and new coffee equipment that sets our specialty cafe apart from the rest.

- Responsible for keeping the coffee station and larger establishment clean, stocked, sanitized

- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment behind the counter and in the FOH area where applicable

- Package pastries for walk-in customers, as well as for pick-up online orders 

- Act with a high level of detail and integrity when following instructions as stated on opening/closing and weekly checklists

** Responsibilities: **

- Provide excellent customer service and hospitality. We go above and beyond for our customers to make sure they are comfortable while they are in our cafe, and they leave with a smile on their face. 

- As part of that we welcome every customer with a smile and make them feel welcome in our space. In addition, we express our gratitude for their business when they leave. These small gestures are the cornerstone of our business and the foundation of our valued relationships with customers.

- Ability to upsell to our customers offering them, coffee, and pastry bundles, promote specials to enhance sales opportunities

- Operate our Nuovo Simonelli espresso machine and pour a beautiful cup of coffee for our guests. Latte art and previous barista experience is required (minimum of 2+ years of relevant barista experience required).

- Operate our Clover POS system and handle customer payments in an accurate and efficient manner

** Qualifications: **

- Food Handler Permit required

- 2+ years of Barista experience with ability to skillfully pour latte art and serve beverages with quality and consistency.

- Knowledgeable and passionate about all thing’s coffee/espresso/matcha

- The ideal candidate has the following qualities: reliable, people person, customer-centric, strong work ethics, professional, team player, humble and kind

- Adaptability and flexibility – we are a small team; therefore, flexibility and adaptability are a must. You may need to help out BOH staff if they need support for a big order, or during lunch rush.

- Proactive - You are someone that takes initiative and if you see something that needs to be done, you act.

** Working Condition & Expectation: **

- Part time (~20 hours/week)

- Multi-shift availability needed, open-availability preferred

- Availability to work 3-4 days a week, 5-6 hour shifts as needed

- Our opening times are currently: Monday – Friday 07:30am -05:00pm & Saturday – Sunday 08:00am - 03:00pm

** Physical Requirements: **

- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and sometimes lift up to 25 pounds

- Be able to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours

- Can work well under pressure, multitask, and maintain a consistent pace through the shift

- Attention to detail, quality and customer service

** Compensation & Benefits: **

- $17 - $18/ hour (based on previous work experience and commitment)
