A Purchasing Clerk is an integral part of the Purchasing Team. The Purchasing Clerk position is for someone that has a desire to learn negotiation skills, great relationship building skills and is a strategic thinker.
We are looking for someone that can be trained to find cost effective methods to provide waste and recycling services to our clients and ensure timely implementation of service requests presented by the Account Management Team.
Negotiation and Contract Management skills will be part of the training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-
Assist and train on the development and implementation of procurement strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
During the training phase you will develop and learn on:
- Source and procure equipment, and services required for operations.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
- Collaborate with internal customers to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Coordinate with Account Management Team to ensure timely availability for service implementation and equipment delivery.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Exceptional prioritization skills to ensure timely resolutions that are appropriate for the severity and impact of the situation.
- Facilitate communication and troubleshooting with relevant parties for all vendor related problems.
- Process service changes requested by customer or Account Management team.
- Resolve billing discrepancies based on contractual obligations.
- Work on RFP and bidding projects to obtain cost savings for current/potential clients.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier capabilities and pricing.
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
