<p>ChartPro, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Record Clerk in the Atlanta area.</p><p>The candidate for this position must be:</p><ul><li>Professional</li><li>Dependable</li><li>Punctual</li><li>Must possess excellent customer service skills</li><li>Must be computer savvy</li><li>Must have Release of Information experience</li><li>Must have experience with electronic medical records. EPIC, Allscripts, Athena, or EClinical experience a plus!</li><li>Current, working knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH.</li><li>Team player</li><li>Adept in multitasking</li><li>Excellent communication skills (oral and written)</li><li>Problem Solving and critical thinking skills</li></ul><p>Screening requirements:</p><ul><li>Background check</li><li>Drug testing</li><li>HIPAA certificate</li><li>Notary Public</li></ul><p>Additional Compensation:</p><ul><li>Bonuses</li><li>Audits</li></ul><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Paid Holidays, PTO and vacation</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Retirement IRA Match</li><li>Free Parking</li></ul><p>Job Duty:</p><ul><li>Interacts with requestors to identify medical records needed for request completion.</li><li>Prioritize release of information requests, retrieves medical records from active and inactive and interdepartmental locations, electronically tracks and delivers records in accordance with established procedures.</li><li>Performs self-quality checks on all work to assure accuracy of the release, confidentiality and proper invoicing.</li><li>Handles all requests and inquiries for patient health information whether received via mail, fax, phone or electronically.</li><li>Verifies the patient identity and confirms that the authorization is valid</li><li>Ensures the requesting party has a legal right to request a patient’s medical information and gathers appropriate documentation.</li><li>Ensures that subpoenas are handled appropriately and within the legal guidelines of the respectice state from which the medical records are released.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by being attentive and respectful; insures understanding of customer request and follows-through as promised; and being proactive in identifying client concerns, or problems.</li><li>Helps resolve customer service matters in a polite manner.</li><li>Access computerized patient record and/or other computer systems for patient information needed to complete the medical record request.</li><li>Performs at established quantitative and qualitative work standards to meet company goals and objectives.</li><li>Promotes quality improvement, staff and patient safety, and cultural diversity through company operations and by personal performance</li><li>Provides service in a manner that is appropriate.</li><li>Presents a courteous and helpful demeanor.</li><li>Maintains current knowledge related to applicable statutes, regulations, guidelines and standards necessary to perform job duties.
