<p><strong>Education &amp; Training Coordinator – True Worth Place</strong></p><p>Presbyterian Night Shelter is known for serving the homeless in greatest need: those who have no other places to go.&nbsp; Those who present the greatest challenge to our community are welcome here.&nbsp; As the largest homeless shelter in Tarrant County, we serve approximately 1,000 men, women and children each night.</p><p>Presbyterian Night Shelter staff members strive with mutual respect and compassion to serve with integrity, taking responsibility for our actions to foster hope in the journey from homeless to home.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Summary&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Education &amp; Training Coordinator is responsible for the development and facilitation of educational and recreational programming for True Worth Place guests and other individuals / parties as applicable. The Education &amp; Training Coordinator directly oversees the use of classroom and art studio spaces located at True Worth Place and collaborates with other staff to maximize the use of other instructional spaces in the facility (teaching kitchen, computer lounge, and terrace). The Education &amp; Training Coordinator may facilitate some activities themselves and engage with community partners for the purpose of developing a robust and sustainable education/recreation program. The Education &amp; Training Coordinator is also responsible for tracking and coordinating the employee training program.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>A minimum of two years’ experience and skill in social service programs with preference given to those who have worked with people experiencing homelessness.</p><p>Experience developing and maintaining strong connections with community partners is also required. Experience leading and facilitating skills groups.&nbsp;</p><p>Experience working with diverse and/or difficult populations desired.</p><p>Experience working with the homeless population is preferred.</p><p>Current knowledge of the local network of services preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.&nbsp;</p><p>Valid driver license and proof of liability insurance is required.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This is a full-time salaried position with benefits.&nbsp; If interested in this position please send your resume by e-mail to&nbsp;------------ &nbsp; No phone calls please.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Presbyterian Night Shelter is an Equal Opportunity Employer&nbsp;</p>
