<p><i><strong>Role: New Market Leader, Georgia</strong></i></p><p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong> New Market Leaders at Saxbys will operate a café through mastery of the Three Pillars; Team Development, Community Leadership, and Financial Management. They own and maintain full responsibility for the cafe’s Profit and Loss statements; building brand awareness and participating in partnership cultivation. </p><p>They will also provide support to the café team from initial stages of recruiting and training through their tenure in-café; managing leadership training needs in their designated café by leading shadow shifts, in-classroom training, and virtual check-ins, and administering ServSafe Training & Exams. Our New Market Leaders inspire their teams to embrace Saxbys standards for hospitality, commitment to inclusivity, and Saxbys culture.</p><p><strong>Summary of duties and responsibilities:</strong></p><p><i>Team Development</i></p><ul><li>Plan and execute trainings for new and reopening cafes</li><li>Manage talent lifecycle in the cafe through recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and coaching team members</li><li>Be a servant leader by providing the tools the team needs, completing tasks alongside their team, and providing direction, clear goals, and motivation</li><li>Coordinate with Trainers to plan and execute necessary trainings and offer ongoing coaching and feedback to the team</li><li>Ensure a safe, equitable and inclusive work environment for all team members at all times</li><li>Develop a pipeline of exceptional leaders in the cafe and build out a leadership team at the Certified level</li></ul><p><i>Community Leadership</i></p><ul><li>Develop and lead community relationships to ensure that your Saxbys café is an integral part of the community that it serves</li><li>Plan and execute community outreach initiatives to drive 4 wall top line sales</li><li>Support Saxbys’ social impact mission of education and opportunity through team development and outreach efforts</li><li>Instill and maintain a culture of hospitality and servant leadership</li><li>Aid Academic Platforms in making time and cafe space available for partnership development activities, including cafe visits, and conversations on the Saxbys ELP</li></ul><p><i>Financial Management</i></p><ul><li>Identify opportunities to meet and exceed sales goals, meet budgeted cost categories, and use operational tools and resources to increase profitability</li><li>Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency</li><li>Analyze and manage Three Pillars Reviews on a weekly basis and Profit and Loss Statements on a monthly basis and put feedback into action</li></ul><p><i>Operational Support</i></p><ul><li>Consult with and communicate interdepartmentally to maintain training and operational resources and address the operational needs of the cafe</li><li>Manage shifts and shifts changes effectively through proper scheduling</li><li>Utilize and implement all Saxbys tools, policies and procedures</li><li>Assist in the preparation and service of menu drinks and food items</li><li>Ensure ServSafe standards are upheld to maintain café cleanliness including all service spaces, guest seating areas, and bathroom facilities</li><li>Appropriately execute administrative work to support café operations:<ul><li>Manage cash by preparing daily cash deposits</li><li>Monitor and manage cost of goods sold through proper inventory and waste management while upholding product availability standards</li><li>Take lead on ordering and invoicing for product and supplies</li><li>Create weekly schedules to maintain an appropriate labor percentage based on café volume</li></ul></li><li>Ensure the safety of the café, guests, and team members</li><li>Serve as a liaison between Saxbys HQ team and café-level team, connecting the team to Saxbys Mission and Core Values</li><li>Abide by Saxbys standard operating procedures and ensure that all Cafe team members follow suit</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Support, exhibit, and promote Saxbys Mission Statement, Make Life Better, and Core Values in all daily activities. (Outgoing, Detail Oriented and Disciplined)</li><li>Profit creates opportunity</li><li>We live with pride, passion, and purpose</li><li>Care personally and communicate openly</li><li>Serve yourself by serving others</li></ul></li><li>Ability to effectively communicate and interpret all training materials</li><li>Work location: approximately 80% in café, 20% in HQ/virtual</li><li>12 months Saxbys cafe operations experience or a minimum of 6 months as a Saxbys C.E.O. or S.C.E.O.</li><li>Experience facilitating groups and delivering presentations</li><li>Understanding of adult learning approaches and processes</li><li>Drivers license preferred</li><li>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Able to stand, walk, and smile for extended periods of time</li><li>Able to stoop and kneel</li><li>Push, pull, lift or carry up to 35 lbs</li><li>Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps</li></ul></li></ul>
