STRIVE Camp Counselor - $1,750 Sign-on Bonus

Pay: $17.08/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9a-5pm, June 10th - August 30th

Camp STRIVE is a day camp that provides tween, teens and young adults with intellectual disabilities, ages 11-24, with a supportive, safe, and active program during school vacations and throughout the summer. During each camp session, campers participate in activities including cooking, community trips, arts and crafts, games and physical fitness and of course social time! Campers are supported at all times by professional staff who have completed PSL’s full training and are certified Direct Support Professionals. We offer free certification/training at our on-site professional development center!

This is a full-time position during the summer months, running June 10th-August 30th. Shifts will be day-time hours Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm. 40 hours/week.

$1,750 sign-on Bonus + $250 if successful applicant is already DSP, CRMA, MHRT-1 and/or Ed Tech III certified! Opportunities to remain employed with the agency may be available after the summer, if interested.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Engage in fun camp activities with participants, motivating and encouraging individuals as needed.
• Provide transportation to and from community events.
• Driver’s License, reliable vehicle and clean driving record required.
• Planning and overseeing activities.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, 2 years or more of college is preferred.
• Direct Support Professional certification and experience preferred but not required
