About the Dance Teacher Position
**THIS POSITION IS A PART TIME POSITION: 1 hour a day at $35-40/hour FOR THE UPCOMING SUMMER SESSION (8 WEEKS), BEGINNING THE LAST WEEK OF JUNE. CURRENTLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR 1-2 DANCE TEACHERSTO TEACH 2-5 CLASSES EACH WEEK from the following options:
Mondays 1:00-1:40
Tuesdays 1:00-1:40
Wednesdays 9:30-10:10
Thursdays 10:20-11:00
Fridays 10:00-10:40
IDEALLY, WE WOULD LOVE FOR THE DANCE TEACHER TO CONTINUE TEACHING IN THE FALL SESSION OF DANCE, and there would be more time/day options available. However, we will accept applications from dance teachers
We are looking for a motivated, energetic professional to join our staff and create a warm, welcoming environment for our dance students at their weekly ballet classes within their assigned preschool or elementary school. Applicants must be knowledgeable of ballet and creative movement, and must be capable of teaching basic ballet movements and terminology to young children, as well as managing behavior as needed. The ideal candidate will have or be obtaining a college degree in dance or have professional training in dance or teaching dance to children. The ideal candidate also have experience with caring for and/or instructing children and have the ability to effectively communicate with parents and school staff. Employees will choose the dance classes they will work, as available, and commit to an 8-week session for summer, a 12-week session for fall/spring.
