Do you want to make a difference in people's lives every day? Then look no further. Services for Independent Living is looking for a dynamic self-starter to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services to youth with disabilities during school and after-school hours AND spearhead a state-wide pilot project for peer mentoring. This is a FULL TIME position that allows for both in person and remote work but does require some travel. The successful candidate must be able to develop and implement curriculum to students looking to increase their advocacy skills and prepare for life post high school. The successful candidate must also be an independent worker and self-starter that is well versed in Microsoft Office, have excellent communication skills and must be able to pass a background check. The statewide peer mentoring project works alongside three other disability led organizations to help develop and implement a peer mentorship program for family members/caregivers and individuals with lived experience in Ohio to increase independence and empowerment as well as act as a consultant to provide training and mentorship to individuals with disabilities in Ohio.
