Job description
Fairmount Soccer Association (FSA), a not for profit youth soccer organization for boys and girls primarily serving the communities of Central Philadelphia is currently seeking knowledgeable, committed, and enthusiastic coaches for the 2024-25 In-House/Recreational Soccer Season. Pay ranges from $30 to $50 per hour , depending upon coaching license and experience. Candidates should live within driving distance of Central Philadelphia. Requirements:
FSA requires coaches to meet at least one of the three listed requirements below:
1. USSF Grassroots coaching license
2. Degree in Pre K/ K-12 Education
3. High-level playing/coaching experience

The ideal candidates possess the following qualifications:
• 1-2 years working with pre school, elementary or middle school aged youth
• Knowledge of youth development and youth work best practices
• Knowledge of coaching and sports-based youth development
• Completion and passing of all Federal and State background checks/clearances
• Experience working in after school athletic programs and/or summer camp environment
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills
Responsibilities:
• BE POSITIVE, PHYSICALLY ENGAGED, HIGH ENERGY AND FUN!!
• Engage children in soccer-based youth development programming
• Ensure that children are safe at all times.
• Plan activities with other staff
• Attend all FSA staff training and meetings
• Take attendance, assist with the sign in/sign out process, and manage required
paperwork as directed
• Assist with set-up and clean-up of materials and equipment including preparing and
securing instructional spaces (fields etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

InHouse/Recreational Coaching Positions:

• September/October- 8 weeks-
• January/February- 8 weeks
• April/May- 8 weeks 
• Saturdays- 9:00AM- 4:00PM (full and half day positions available)
• Pay: $30-$50 per hour
