Position Overview: A Growing Hope Counseling therapist will provide outpatient individual and couples therapy to clients. Therapy services include treatment of trauma and relationship issues. We are currently looking for therapists or counselors who work with adults and/or couples, who are goal-oriented, purpose-driven, and ready to be a part of a dynamic, fun, and collaborative team. Responsibilities and Duties: 

Clinical Interventions 

  • Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy. 
  • Remain current with best practices and industry trends. 
  • Develop treatment plans specific to the client’s needs. 
  • Conducts risk assessments and helps clients develop safety plans when needed. 
  • Adapt treatment methods according to the cultural needs of the client. 
  • Participate in collaborative treatment with practice clinicians and external organizations to coordinate client care. 
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries. 
  • Adhere to the ethical standards set by the American Counseling Association (ACA). 
  • Meet and maintain continuing education requirements as identified by the Board of Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists 

Client Information System 

  • Maintain all required client documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. 
  • Maintain an awareness of applicable laws, regulations and licensing requirements as they relate to client documentation. 
  • Responsible for providing appropriate documentation of all therapy/counseling sessions, significant collateral contacts, and phone conversations, etc. consistent with applicable regulatory requirements. 
  • Assure all needed releases of information and other paperwork are present in the file and up-to-date. Promptly requests new or additional information and paperwork as needed.
  • Complete required documentation to ensure timely billing for services provided. 

Team/Supervision Meetings 

  • Attend quarterly all staff meetings in order to stay current on agency vision, upcoming community events, conferences, and trainings, as well as participate in discussion forum on new ideas or address problematic concerns.
