Job Description:

This role is for a dynamic and energetic communications professional with excellent written and spoken skills, experience working with various social media platforms, multicultural competency, and an interest in community engagement. The role's primary function is to assist the marketing and communications team in social media content creation and management and in copywriting and editing for various mediums, clients, and platforms. This role will also occasionally assist the Public Engagement team with public outreach and the Public Affairs Team. .

Success in this position involves learning new things quickly, leveraging creativity, having the confidence to look for solutions individually, and keeping track of and meeting multiple deadlines and commitments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Plan, create, and executive effective and innovative social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other emerging social platforms
  • Develop continuous improvement practices for digital campaign management
  • Write original and curated content for press releases, newsletters, talking points, presentations, social media, marketing materials and other communications
  • Create content for a wide variety of audiences and publishing platforms (web, digital signage, email, social media, presentations, proposals, reports, etc.).
  • Collaboratively implement communications strategies to promote clients’ projects and campaigns
  • Build relationships with clients
  • Assist with media relations
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services to existing clients
  • Meet multiple deadlines and commitments

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Creative Writing, Marketing, or a related field
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving/critical thinking capability
  • Organization, including the ability to keep track of multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, works well under pressure and meets deadlines
  • Solid understanding of social media marketing and analytics
  • Strong multicultural skills
  • Multilingual a plus (preferred languages: Spanish, Somali, Hmong)
  • Experience working with Meta Business Suite preferred
  • Experience working with Google Ads, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft services like Sharepoint, Teams, etc.
