Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing high-quality meals, a deep understanding of seafood, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate served.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented beautifully
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
• Monitor food inventory and communicate needs to the kitchen manager
• Assist in the creation of daily specials and new menu items
• Handle multiple orders simultaneously and ensure all dishes are prepared accurately
• Adapt to changing demands and perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a seafood restaurant
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
