We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
- Plan and engage in meaningful activities to promote socialization and cognitive stimulation
- Provide dementia care, including memory support techniques and creating a safe environment
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- First aid certification is a plus
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable
