<p>Lead Teacher Position</p><p>St. Mark’s Preschool in Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our team.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This part-time (25-32 hours/week) position as a member of the teaching team in our Reggio Emilia inspired, mixed-age classrooms begins August 21, 2024.&nbsp;</p><p>St. Mark’s Preschool is looking for a committed individual with a background in early childhood and, as such, offers a competitive salary with paid days off and an annual stipend for continuing education.&nbsp; We are seeking a motivated candidate who is comfortable in a collaborative work environment and understands the necessary aspects of a quality program with a focus on best practices for children.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Required Qualifications/Experience:</p><ul><li>Undergraduate degree</li><li>Minimum of 6 earned hours of Early Childhood coursework</li><li>Understanding of Early Childhood development&nbsp;</li><li>CPR/First Aid Certified</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications/Experience:</p><ul><li>Early Childhood Degree</li><li>Director Qualified in State of Illinois</li><li>20 + hours of Early Childhood coursework</li><li>At least 2 years of experience in the classroom</li><li>Knowledge of Handwriting without Tears instruction</li></ul><p>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Planning and implementing curriculum</li><li>Collaborating with other staff</li><li>Conducting child developmental assessments</li><li>Ongoing documentation of individual child development</li><li>Maintaining classroom, equipment, and supplies</li><li>Participation in continuing education opportunities</li></ul><p>Job Requirements:</p><ul><li>Able to lift 50 pounds</li><li>Available to work 3 evening events throughout the year</li><li>Able to acquire required 15 in-service hours per year</li></ul><p>If interested, please submit a resume to:&nbsp;------------&nbsp;</p><p>or call Kristine at: --------- x234.</p>
