Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in implementing the Montessori curriculum and providing a nurturing environment for our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing the Montessori curriculum, including preparing materials and activities that promote hands-on learning and exploration.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued and respected.
  • Provide individualized attention and guidance to students, assisting them in their learning journey and helping them develop independence and confidence.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create engaging lesson plans and activities that meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to the Montessori philosophy.
  • Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Minimum high school diploma: 90 hours or CDA credential or coursework is a plus.
