The School-Based Mental Health Clinician provides comprehensive clinical mental health services in the school setting, including counseling with students and families, crisis intervention, conducting and facilitating client education and informational workshops, and team collaboration. Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be a Master’s level, Maryland licensed clinician (LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMSW, LCMFT, LMFT)
- Must have license in good standing
- 1+ year(s) of experience preferred
- Experience with child and/or adolescent mental health strongly preferred
- Must follow policies and protocols of Interdynamics, Inc. and PGCPS as directed
- Adhere to all licensing regulations, ethical principles, and standards
- Employment with interdynamics is contingent upon completing screening requirements (including, but not limited to, Criminal Background Check and State Child Abuse Registry Clearance).
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling to students, teachers, and parents
- Conduct teacher consultations and classroom intervention
- Conduct training and workshops for staff, students, and parents
- Conduct classroom observations and functional behavioral assessments
- Attend weekly team meetings as required
- Conduct community outreach
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in team meeting
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff as requested
- Provide Crisis Intervention for students, staff, and families
- Work with the school psychologist, counselors, and social workers
- Provide family support and liaison service with other agencies on behalf of the family
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services
- Meet weekly with the Interdynamics' Clinical Supervisor
- Inform Clinical Supervisor of all absences and breaks in services by Position Contract Specifications
- Other related duties as assigned
