Key Qualifications:

• Minimum Experience: 3+ years as a Service Technician
• Preferred Certification: Chevrolet/GM certification
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications:

• ASE Certification required
• A level qualifications (Diagnostic, Electrical, Engine Repair)

Skills:

• Dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Strong customer service and basic computer skills
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Eagerness to learn and improve
• Team player with effective collaboration skills

Licensing:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose vehicle issues accurately
• Discuss repair needs and options with management or service advisors
• Communicate additional service requests to service advisors
• Plan and prioritize work in cooperation with the dispatcher
• Provide labor time estimates to service advisors
• Adhere to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
• Document and complete repair stories for client vehicles
• Help mentor and guide technician trainees
• Stay updated through company and factory training
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal)
