We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Support and Events Team Member

Highland Trading Company is a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of Sportube and Wildsyde products. Based in the Vail Valley, Colorado, we are the World’s # 1 supplier of hard-sided ski, snowboard and fishing cases as well as the creator and distributor of Wildsyde electric bicycles. We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, independent, and highly motivated Sales Support and Events Team Member.

This position will play an important part of our small, dedicated team as we continue to grow the company. With new products in the pipeline and new markets emerging, the successful candidate will wear many hats and be involved in all aspects of this fast-paced, exciting, Outdoor-Sports-Oriented Business. We pay $23-$27 per hour plus bonus. This full-time position (30-40 hours p/w) provides an amazing opportunity to attend events, travel and experience first-hand the Outdoor-Sports-Adventure Industry. The role will require 10-20 hours per week in office event prep and follow up and then weekend and occasional evening events.

Primary responsibilities include customer service, greet and advise customers in a local showroom, organizing and attending Promotional Events and Consumer Shows, including the Art shows, beer and wine festivals and events like Farmers’ Markets, travel to and from events with van, trailer, etc., schedule and plan events, schedule and plan event logistics, build bikes to order, demo fleet bike service and maintenance. This role will also organize community outreach & engagement. When not attending events, this position is primarily office/showroom based and provides strong customer focus through attentive management of and support of customers through phone and email, and meticulously completing miscellaneous administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications
• Comfortable working in an open-office environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Basic skills using social media marketing tools
• Focus on providing exceptional customer service and support
• Must be able to work independently, without supervision but also be a team player and willing to assist with a wide variety of miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to, logistics, data entry, product assembly, etc.
