  • Masters in Early Childhood Education and certified in Birth-2ns Grade.

 

  • Masters working towards certification (Birth-2ND)

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and on a Study plan (enrolled in Early Childhood Masters Degree program)

 

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors Early Childhood Program and already completed 90 credits

 

Start Date: immediate hire/ sign-on BONUS

 

Hours: M-Thurs 8am- 5:00pm Fridays 8am -4PM

 

Salary: $55,000-$85,000

Experience:


Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred


  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices

  •  Familiarity with behavior management techniques

  •  Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

 

 

 

 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the health and safety of every child in your care by adhering to the Employee Handbook.

 

  • Guide and facilitate activities of the children, including: daily activities, field trips, selecting and arranging equipment and materials in the classroom.

 

  • Cooperate with other staff and classroom groups to maintain the smooth functioning of the center, which at times may require changes to meet the needs of the children.

 

  • Eat with and assist children in development of social and self-help skills, and sound nutritional practices.

 

  • Guide children's acquisition of social skills.

 

  • Attend staff training and meetings

 

  • Collaborate with other Teachers, Teacher Assistant and volunteers to use and develop their skills and abilities in planning and carrying out classroom activities.

 

  • Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment. 

 

  • Assure that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.

 

  • Use the playground as an extension of the classroom; assures that the playground is safe.

 

  • Assist in conducting the daily health and environment checklist.

 

  • Assist in implementing children's I.E.P. (Individual Education Plan) or I.F.S.P. (Individual Family Service Plan) seeking clarification for any aspects that are not well understood

 

  • Complete and submit required forms and records in a timely and accurate fashion, e.g., lesson plans, time sheets, meal reports etc.; While utilizing the DOE curriculum and conducting all that is required in the Teaching Strategies Gold assessment system.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Successful experience working in a team setting

 

  • Ability to present a positive image of the organization to members of the community;

 

  • Ability to collaborate with Ed. Director and TA to plan, organize and implement lesson plan and responsibilities effectively, providing input;

 

  • Experience successfully working with a culturally diverse staff and clients.
