Aftercare Assistant 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated after school assistant to join our team. As an Aftercare Assistant, you will provide support, assistance, and supervision to students, ensuring their well-being and safety. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties:
- Supervise individuals around the school campus with daily activities such as indoor/outdoor play, games, playground and or activities in the Multi-purpose (gym) room.
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition or behavior
- Assist with light snack distribution
- Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for individuals under your care

Experience:
- Previous experience in education, or special education is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of elementary or any school education principles is a plus!
- Previous experience in sports coaching is advantageous

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with individuals and their families
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when dealing with individuals facing challenges
