We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Specialist, you will work with students grades K-12 with developmental disabilities to provide support and implement behavior intervention plans. Your role will involve crisis intervention, data collection, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Duties:
- Conduct assessments and develop behavior intervention plans based on individual needs
- Implement behavior support strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviors
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, counse , and other school professionals and parents to ensure continuity of care and emotional stability
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans
- Assist students in developing daily coping skills and promoting independence
- Utilize applied behavior analysis principles to guide interventions and support strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
Requirements:
- Some College in psychology, social work, special education, or related fieid
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
- Passion for working with school children grades K - 12.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
