Job description:

Behavior services are applied either within GoldStar Learning Options (GLO) or out in the community. Collaborating with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), this person will be responsible for executing personalized programs designed to achieve participant goals. In addition, this person will be working with participants who need close supervision due to high magnitude maladaptive behaviors (physical aggression, self-injurious behaviors, elopement, other unsafe and dysregulated behaviors). Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and professional crisis management will support with self-regulation and coping skills. ABA will also focus on developing fundamental skills like observation, listening, requesting, and imitation, as well as advanced skills such as reading, conversing, and grasping another person's perspective. Your role will involve contributing to all our programs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage and supervise individuals with disabilities with high magnitude maladaptive behavior, addition to assisting in the facilitation of daily activities and progress toward personalized goals
  • Assist with basic hygiene and possible toileting
  • Participate in activities of daily living
  • Provide an appropriate level of supervision
  • Assist in planning and facilitating group activities
  • Implement appropriate behavior response protocols
  • Work with individuals as specified in their individual program and with respect to the rights of all adult participants
  • Work with other staff members to support groups of participants
  • Going on community outings with participants when scheduled
  • Complete daily documentations and data collection
  • Ensure health and safety needs are being met

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED. Degree preferred
  • Pass background check and CAPS report
  • Able to provide two government issued IDs
  • Professional Crisis Managment Training (PCM) to maintain safety of employees and participants (Will provide training)
  • Consistently demonstrating the GLO mission and professional demeanor
  • Ability to professionally communicate in both verbal and written language
  • Take and apply feedback in a timely, professional manner
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
  • RBT preferred but not required
  • BCaBA preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time OR Part-time / Monday - Friday

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
