• Responsible for PPAP reviews/approvals.
• Identify error-proofing processes, “make from” and in-sourcing opportunities.
• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Technology, or like degree required.
Experience in a manufacturing engineering role in assembly or fabrication environment preferred, or relevant intern experience.
Extensive experience in structured root cause and corrective action methodology required
Blueprint/part layout experience.
IMDS background is a plus but not required.
Experience in automotive quality and IATF 16949 requirements.
Ideally experience with plastic/metal parts.
Strong understanding of AIAG APQP/PPAP and their associated tools.
GD&T experience.
