Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the right candidate will have experience painting parts and materials utilizing electrostatic spray equipment in a spray booth. The Painter position includes paint preparation (not color matching), and  Powder Coating duties as needed. This is a moving conveyor system. Responsibilities include: Other duties may be assigned.

Residential and commercial interior and exterior painting experience are not applicable for this position. 

Principal Duties / Responsibilities:

• Ability to follow the production schedule as set by management
• Proficient with the use of electrostatic spray painting and powder coating equipment
• Knows and understands the importance of attendance, punctuality and dependability
• Prepares all paint according to requirements and specifications
• Applies powder coat per specification to deliver high quality product and finish
• Keeps all tools, mixing equipment, and mixing area clean
• Recognizes color and ensures correct color is used for each job as required
• Communicates with the manager any equipment or material issues
• Maintains paint booth and oven as needed and ensures overall cleanliness of paint booth and oven
• Learns paint specifications, recognizes any issues with preparation, and makes corrections as necessary
• Paints using proper technique and follows instructions to ensure proper finish
• Follows safety rules, always wears proper PPE and ensures proper care of equipment
• Follows management directions
• Maintains productive pace
• Works cooperatively and communicates effectively with other team members
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Ability to read and understand TDS and SDS data sheets for the various chemicals used to perform the job
• Ability to understand blueprint drawings to ensure items are painted as required by customer needs
• Commercial /residential building painting is not a similar experience.

Job Type: Full-time, four 10 hour days/week
