Position: Alarm Technician

Description of work: Will be involved in the installation, programming, trouble shooting and service of security systems, fire alarms, video surveillance, and access control in residential, commercial and industrial sites. 

Looking for someone with a strong basic mechanical/construction background that can run wires, troubleshoot systems and interface between the manufacturer and customer with tech support. Some IT experience is preferred for setting up simple network configuration and understanding of port forwards and static vs dynamic. Comfortable with firmware updates, software downloads, explaining app features, and communicating with customers. Learning, understanding and being able to explain the software to the end user. The candidate should have a basic understanding or a willingness to learn basic security/fire/access/camera systems. 

Additional Notes: Must be organized, willing to assist others within the company, pass a drug test and criminal background check. This is field installation which includes but not limited to pulling wire, mounting devices, programming and troubleshooting. Have a basic set of hand tools – screw drivers, Allen wrenches, wire strippers, etc. Must be able to work at elevated levels – platform lift, bucket truck or extension ladders.

Experience: 1-3yrs experience preferred but will consider less experience with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background with the willingness to learn the trade.

Pay: Full time- 35-40 hours/week Monday-Friday. $18-$25/hour.
