Seeking a full-time, long term, career-oriented Vineyard/Ranch foreman to manage day to day operations for two north county properties (part time considered). Must be a motivated, organized and a self-starting individual with the ability to manage, collaborate and work with a team to achieve common goals with attention to detail.

Primary Job Duties

General - Property Maintenance

Landscaping, rodent control, cleaning, check lighting weekly, vacation rental repairs (general carpentry) and handyman tasks, lighting . Must have the initiative to recognize issues, find a solution and report directly to the owner.

Equipment/Machinery Knowledge and Repair 

Must be able to operate machinery including tractors and forklifts. Able to operate farming equipment and implements. Must be able to maintenance equipment and have general knowledge of equipment repair.

Vineyard Management – General knowledge of all aspects of Viticulture 

Irrigation management, weed control, disease and pest control, cultivation, vine balance, canopy management and harvest. Must be able to manage and work alongside a labor crew.
 

Must have a valid CA driver’s license

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to communicate well in English

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs

Requires complete mobility (walking, bending and stretching) in the vineyard on uneven terrain

Ability to work up to 5 days a week for 8-10 consecutive hours outdoors

Ability to report to work in early morning hours
