Bethel Lutheran Church is seeking a talented and dedicated candidate who can play the piano and/or organ as well as direct the church choir. This would be considered a part time position. Salary starting at $17K per year depending on qualifications, responsibilities and experience.

Responsibilities:

l Provide piano or organ accompaniment during regular and special church services

l Work with the choir, soloists, and other musicians to create a harmonious and spiritually uplifting experience

l Select appropriate musical pieces in alignment with the church’s liturgical calendar

l Rehearse and prepare music for weekly services and special events

l Maintain the care of the church organ and piano

Qualifications:

l Proficient organist and/or pianist who has an understanding of various styles of Christian choral and instrumental music

l Good sight reading skills

l Excellent organizational and time management skills.
