Come be part of a dream! We are hiring managers for Avalon School of Music. If you are looking for a positive atmosphere, wonderful people to surround yourself with, and opportunity to make a difference for children and families, this role might just be for you! As manager, you would be in charge of booking new students, as well as ensuring that the current teachers and families are all having a smooth experience. School hours are between around 2-9pm Monday-Friday, and 9am-3pm on Saturday (specific shifts would be discussed and assigned). Currently, we are looking for someone that can cover at least Tuesday and Wednesday from about 2-9pm and Saturday from 8:30am-3pm but eventually grow into more of a full-time 5-day position.

Requirements:

- bilingual (Spanish)
- detail oriented
- ability to focus in fast-paced environments
- great people skills
- sales experience

Not required, but helpful:
- good understanding of google drive/sheets/docs and powerpoint
- knows how to work with apple computer
- musical knowledge/experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of contracted instructors. Managing the lesson schedule and instructor availability.
  • registering new students.
  • Communicating directly with other administrative staff regarding matters of the assigned music school.
  • Selling retail items and instruments; renting instruments
  • Answering and returning all calls, emails, texts, and voicemails during assigned shifts.
  • Reporting all needed housekeeping supplies and needed retail inventory for order. The school shall cover the cost of these items.
  • Open the school no less than 30 minutes before the first scheduled on-site lesson, unless otherwise specified.
  • Submit a daily report that highlights the important events that took place during the day and any other notes for other administrative staff members.
  • Meet with the Regional Director on a regular monthly basis for a complete review of monthly goals, accomplishments, resource requests, and next steps needed to achieve the goals of the school and contracted services.
  • Completing daily checklist for opening and closing procedures. Communicating with other school administrative staff on any issues that affect day to day operations with scheduling, billing, and conflict resolution with staff/parents.
  • Creating a positive atmosphere and building positive rapport with clients while working at any of the music schools.
